DAY 1 Arrival: You will be welcomed at JRO by your tour guide and escorted you to your overnight accommodations at the lodge in Arusha.
DAY 2 Lake Manyara: Depart Arusha with a picnic lunch for the road and head to Lake Manyara National Park for full day game drive. Here you might see the famous tree-climbing lions that lives only in these parts. The park contains woodlands and swamps, so it is a perfect spot to view hippos and hundreds of species of birds. Enjoy a relaxing dinner at the lodge and overnight stay.
DAY 3 Ngorongoro Crater: After breakfast depart to Ngorongoro Crater for a half day tour of the world’s largest crater. At 24km in diameter, the crater is home to a diverse group of animals, yet is small enough to provide an intimate view of predators and prey in their natural environment. After a picnic lunch head to the Serengeti for dinner and overnight at your private camp.
DAY 4 – 7 Serengeti: Four days in the Serengeti will ensuring the most detailed tour of the park. The park is said to contain over 3 million mammals and nearly 500 species of birds. It is one of the best places to view the famous zebra and wildebeest migration during the months of May and June. The park also boasts the “Big 5″ (lion, elephant, rhino, leopard, and buffalo). The Serengeti is home to thousands of crocodiles, which you will be able to view from a safe distance. Another opportunity in the Serengeti is taking a hot air balloon ride over the park. Each day will conclude with an evening at your private camp with dinner prepared by the chef and staff.
DAY 8 Return: Enjoy one last game drive through the Serengeti before heading to the Seronera airstrip for your flight back to Arusha. Upon arriving in Arusha you will have lunch and an afternoon to explore the town before being escorted to JRO airport for your flight home.
