Next week we will be traveling to the Discover Africa Road Show at the Museum of History and Industry in Seattle. This show is put on by the Association for Promotion of Tourism in Africa and is a chance to meet the trade representatives of various African Airlines, Lodges, Camps and Tourist Boards and network with people who sell and specialize in Africa.
APTA has been very successful in offering a series of African educational dinner programs. These programs feature guest speakers, new sales tools, destination and production presentations, door prizes, and networking potential with your professional peers that opens the door to more profits.

February 25, 2008: Last November, George Gaiti opened a souvenir shop, Mega Gift Shop, at the far end of the Nairobi National Park compound. It was also visible to the drivers on the busy Langata Road.
His business model was to offer both domestic and international visitors a place to relax and enjoy Kenya’s natural heritage on the veranda while sipping coffee or tea.
Catering to everyone from the children with Sh10 to adults with more than Sh10,000 to spend, the business was looking up especially in the first month and early December.
